Distributor picks up exclusive distribution rights to German brand and drops BBB

Greyville signs XLC accessories and components

Greyville Enterprises has revealed that it will be handling exclusive UK distribution for the German-based XLC accessory and component range.

Backed by the giant Accell group of companies, XLC is one of Germany’s fastest growing brands and is distributed in many European countries. Greyville will officially launch XLC at Cycle Show in October.

Following the signing, Greyville is set to drop the BBB brand next year.

“Though the XLC brand is new for the UK market the extent of the existing programme, plus the huge effort now going into R & D by the parent company, ensures XLC is certain to have an immediate and ongoing impact," enthused Greyville MD Alan Pritchard.

"The future potential is truly exciting both in terms of the product range and the commitment to marketing and promotion shown by XLC’s enthusiastic management team."

Pritchard added: "Greyville’s strength and ongoing success is built on providing service and support to the IBD sector of the market and the addition of XLC to our range is part of that commitment.

"We will be discontinuing our association with BBB in 2011 as the management of that brand wish to take a different path and become more involved with major chains, that is not how I see Greyville’s future."

Earlier in the year Greyville picked up Bobike child seats.
