Halfords Q1 sales unaffected by FMD

Boots Chairman John McGrath said:

"Trading performance at Halfords was strong with total sales up 11.9 percent; like for like sales, excluding the 76 [Bikehuts], increased by 7.6 percent. The first phase of [Bikehut] store conversions continued to perform well, generating average sales increases in excess of 20 percent."
