Web service connects customers with nearest brand stockists and sale items free of charge

HelpaBikeShop.com connecting customers to retailers stateside

A free of charge marketing service has been set up for retailers in the USA, enabling thousands of bike shops to list their stock, both old and new. Daily email updates are then sent to nearly 10,000 subscribed cyclists.

www.helpabikeshop.com overcomes the limited marketing available to many bike shops, enabling inventories and sale deals to be listed online.

Site creator, Arnold Galit told BikeBiz: "Local bike shops have limited marketing budgets, restricting the number of people who might be aware of shop promotions. Obviously, this also limits bike shop revenue.

"A shop in Portland may have wheels on sale that a cyclist in Detroit wants, but that cyclist will never know about the Portland sale. HABS assists stores by connecting to cyclists directly and on a daily basis via email."

Galit hopes that HelpaBikeShop will have attracted a targeted audience of 50,000 subscribers by September.
