EUROBIKE 2013: And brand picks up a Eurobike Award (video)

Hiplok creates world’s first wearable D-lock

Hiplok D and Hiplok Pop are being previewed at this week’s Eurobike, with stock in place this autumn.

The Hiplok D is pitched as the world’s first wearable D-lock. Using a unique clip system integrated into the body of the Sold Secure rated D-lock, it can easily be attached to belts and bag straps as well as fit firmly in pockets, offering maximum comfort and convenience when riding. With a hardened steel shackle and a slim profile body, it’s available in several colours and there’s a video of it in action below.

Hiplok Pop is a lightweight, versatile cable lock that uses Hiplok’s patent pending “pop” system, so it easily adjusts to and fits around the riders waist. Available in six colours from neon to classic, Hiplok Pop can be customised to suit the rider.

Hiplok D will retail for £59.99 and Hiplok Pop for £19.99.

Co-founder of Hiplok Benjamin Smith said: “We are so excited to show Hiplok D and Hiplok Pop at Eurobike. People love our award-winning Hiplok chain locks because they are secure, portable and innovative. We wanted to apply our design ethos to other types of bicycle lock and to a wider audience of riders. The addition of Hiplok D and Hiplok Pop means there is now a Hiplok to meet every riders individual needs.”
