They join as Raleigh continues to ride a publicity wave, the 'official' press launch of the Vietnam-built Chopper takes place tomorrow. Neal Holdsworth of Tradewinds becomes Raleigh's sourcing director; 80s BMX champ Geth Shooter will be part of Raleigh's BMX design team. Another new appointment, albeit from within, is Geoff Giddings who takes the place of Loz Cox, the Chopper speccer who recently joined Dawes.

Holdsworth and Shooter join Raleigh

Holdsworth takes over from Mike Reynolds who left Raleigh in January. It was thought by many – including Reynolds – that he would become Raleigh MD but, instead, Jersey-based Alan Finden-Crofts, Raleigh’s chairman, appointed Mark Gouldthorp, Raleigh’s finance director since 2002.

Shooter is a CNC lathe operator and was the British BMX champion in 1984.
