Hookit has added inner tube label Rubbers to its portfolio.
Uniquely, the Vancouver-based label supplies a patch kit with each tube sold, giving further longevity to the tube for the £5.75 price.
Hookit’s Oliver Green told BikeBiz: "I first came across Rubbers as a consumer when I was living in Whistler. They caught my eye and I noticed it was the first time I had actually formed and opinion on an inner tube one way or the other. We have been working hard with Mark Lavigne, the sales director and founder over in Vancouver to get things just right. We are now happy to announce that the first shipment is on its way! We do away with excess packaging, give them a tapered shape so they fit perfectly in packs and jersey pockets, and most importantly add a little fun. Rubbers are more than just tubes, each tube comes with one of their easy to use glueless patches, these guys pack a serious punch to! Double you riding pleasure with Rubbers tube and patch kits!"
In other news, the distributor has recruited an industry sales veteran in Paul Sim-Williams, previously an employee of Zyro’s.
