Not only is registration now open for Madison’s iceBike* trade show, taking place March 5th to 7th, but the distributor has dropped some hints about some of the fresh products bike retailers and media types can expect to see at the show.
The GoPro Hero3 will be among the products starring at iceBike* 2013. This latest model is 30 per cent smaller, 25 per cent lighter and, the firm says, two times more powerful than previous models. The full range will be on show there, alongside GoPro gurus offering demos and answering questions.
Making its debut appearance at iceBike* 2013 is the new women’s range from Giro. The new range features helmets, footwear and accessories, with a fashion conscious design edge making use of trendy colours and neat design touches, the distributor said, adding that women’s cycling is a massive growth sector of the bike market right now.
The recently announced Garmin Edge 510 and flagship model 810 will be showcased too. These GPS devices have been completely revamped for 2013 and have connected features that provide live tracking, wireless data transfers, weather and social media sharing, using a touchscreen interface. The show will officially be the first opportunity for dealers to view and demo the new models, with trained operators on hand to answer queries.
Finally, for now, iceBike* 2013 will see the launch of the Genesis Fugio. A picture of a new steel CX prototype was on show on the Genesis blog, and the finished product will be on show at iceBike*. The ‘Fugio’ features an 853 steel frame, full carbon fork and will be available as a frame set only. In addition, a limited run of the 2013 production model will be available to order at iceBike*.
