More of what to expect from the Milton Keynes-set trade show

iceBike* 2015 preview: Compressport, Bliss, Continental and Shimano

iceBike* 2015 is running in just a few weeks time at Arena: MK. Here’s another preview of some of the products appearing from February 24th to 26th at the show (see our first iceBike* preview online).

Swiss brand Compressport is new to the Madison portfolio and known for specialism in compression garments for athletes. Making its debut at iceBike* this year, the brand is recognised as a leader in compression thanks to the technical features, unique designs and quality of its full range of products that help prevent injury, reduce fatigue, aid recovery and boost performance.

The Bavarian soft armour specialist Bliss has new additions for the 2015 season being showcased at iceBike*. The latest Comp and Vertical Extended Knee pads both feature the revolutionary Armourgel system that offers a longer protection pad for the more gravity defying rider. Also appearing is the new Vertical Day Top that it pitched as rewriting the rules of back protectors by including four rear pockets and a soft flask so riders can carry essentials without the need for a backpack when attacking the trail.

Fresh from the World Cup circuit, the rubber that has been on Madison Saracen steeds in their successful 2014 season is soon to be available for everyone. Continental’s Black Chili Compound delivers top notch grip, whilst the Apex technology protects the side walls and keeps the tyre’s shape upright in corners. A proven World Cup winner.

New options for 2015 include 27.5” and 29” sizes with ProTectionApex and Continental’s Enduro carcass.

In 1990 Shimano’s introduction of the M737 pedal and the M100 shoe started a revolution within cycling; a pedal and shoe combination called ‘Shimano Pedaling Dynamics’ or SPD. In celebration of its 25th Anniversary, Shimano has released a new, limited-edition, commemorative shoe and pedal combination that will be on display at this year’s show. See the new dual-sided SPD pedal, perfect for cross country and trail riding, alongside the multi-condition Trail/Enduro shoe that features Shimano’s latest shoe technologies.
