Ex-Reece Cycles man and BMX enthusiast takes the hotseat and tells us he's seeking more Diamondback dealers

In the saddle: Raleigh’s Jason Boness

What bikes do you own?
I’m currently riding a signature Ben Hucke Nightseeker custom build Diamondback BMX bike and a Diamondback Mission Pro 2012 full sus mountain bike.

Where’s your favourite place to ride?
I try to ride at Radcliffe on Trent outdoor park as much as possible. The best mountain bike trails I’ve ridden at The Canyons in Park City, Utah.

What’s the biggest rush achievable on a bike?
Blasting down a trail as fast as possible on my mission, or riding a spine ramp with my buddies.

Eurobike or Interbike?
Eurobike. It’s the best place for seeing what’s happening in the industry.

What’s your role at Raleigh/Diamondback? And what does it involve?
Product/brand manager. I’m responsible for the brand’s European ranges from initial concept to finished product – from frames, to component spec, right down to decal style. I also work closely with the marketing and sales team, getting feedback about how we can constantly move the products forward.

What’s the best part of your job?
Having the freedom and resources to create outstanding Diamondback products and then ride them. It’s immensely satisfying.

Are you looking for dealers to come on board at the moment?
We are looking for dealers, but they have to be the right dealers, Diamondback is an IBD-only brand now.
