It’s going to cost a packet to send parcels

Royal Mail had until December 31st to tell the postal regulater whether there would be a price hike in 2004. Late yesterday, the Royal Mail snuck out a pre-Christmas bombshell, prices would indeed rise, and would hit business users the most.

Whereas some first class mail will be cheaper – by up to 10 percent – most of the grunt mail prices are being increased.

And add Shimano’s latest price increases for low- to mid-end kit – also rising by 4 percent from 1st April – and RRPs will clearly have to rise, too.
