J2 Retail Systems claims to have brought to market the first solid state EPoS system as standard, ahead of its competitors.
Norm Campbell, J2 Retail Systems’ chief technology officer and creator of the J2 615 explains: “An SSD works just like a hard disk drive. Its big advantages are reliability, as there are no moving parts to wear out, and its speed of reading from and writing to disk.”
Other perks of the system include superior heat dissipation, lower energy consumption when compared to non solid state drives and silent performance.
All Microsoft Windows Embedded operating systems are supported.
