Edinburgh Bicycle Co-op is a long established, respected independent bike retailer. Founded in 1977, we operate 5 retail outlets across Scotland and the North of England as well as an ecommerce operation supported by a large warehouse/ distribution centre on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
An exciting opportunity has come up in our Newcastle branch for the role of an Assistant Manager and we are inviting candidates to apply.
Based at our store in Byker, you’ll report directly to the Newcastle Branch Manager and will work closely with him, and the Deputy Manager, in all aspects of the running of the branch and most importantly ensuring sales targets are met.

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate strong administrative, leadership and motivational skills and understanding, as well as a highly developed sense of customer service. Managing customer & staff expectations while maximising the sales opportunity is critical to the role.
You must be an effective time-manager and a pragmatic problem solver. You’ll be expected to place great emphasis on service quality and productivity, whilst paying attention to detail and ‘completing / finishing’. Finally, the candidate should have the drive and motivation to identify, act on and deliver sales opportunities.
