This is a varied role that demands flexibility between sales advice and repairs. Our growing workshop trade means we require another full-time mechanic to maintain our high level of service but the focus of the role will be placed just as highly on your ability to connect with and sell to our ever-expanding set of valued customers.\r\n\r\nThe successful applicant will have proven experience with a wide range of bicycle servicing including Bosch and Shimano e-bike motor systems.\u00a0 Ideally you would also carry qualifications of Cytech level 2 or 3 and references to back this experience up. Our workshop prides itself on good communication, quality work and fast turnaround times.\u00a0Our sales team prides itself on plain english explanations and a welcoming attitude towards new cyclists.\u00a0\r\n\r\nIdeally you would have a passion for Gravel and Adventure cycling and be excited about building our trade in Surly Bikes and Adventure riding accessories. You will be a trusted mechanic for the bikepacking and touring community and be able to talk people through custom builds and accessorization for bikepacking, touring or urban utility.\r\n\r\nRequirements\r\n\r\n \tEligible for NZ Work Visa, Working Holiday Visa or be a NZ or Australian Citizen\/Permanent Resident\r\n \tMinimum 3 years experience as a cycle mechanic in a similar role\r\n \tEfficient, organised and thorough mechanic\r\n \tAbility to connect and strike up relationships with customers\r\n \tWilling to work weekends\r\n\r\nPreferences\r\n\r\n \tCytech L2\/3 Qualification or similar\r\n \tProven sales record and ambition to grow our adventure biking segment.\r\n \tIntent to emigrate long term\/permanently to NZ\r\n\r\nAbout Wellington.\r\n\r\nWellington is a creative and vibrant city, nestled amongst hills and\u00a0 harbour.
