POSITION: Bike Fitter

LOCATION: WHEELBASE Midlands, Coventry

We are currently looking for an outstanding applicant to be the Bike Fitter at our brand-new retail store – WHEELBASE Midlands in Coventry. Full and part time roles will be considered.

We are looking for an experienced, qualified bike fitter with the ability to provide excellent support and guidance to customers during the bike fitting process. Applicants should be friendly and approachable and should enjoy working with cyclists of all abilities; patient with an eye for detail you must be able to work independently and be confident working with a wide variety of bicycles.


  • Serve customers with the highest quality bike fit to improve comfort and performance.
  • Understand and interpret customer needs through comprehensive dialogue.
  • Complete analysis of customer fit while on their bike and in motion.
  • Create reports of work performed for customer including bike measurements and equipment changes that will assist the rider with future purchases, adjustments, and equipment needs.
  • Assist in appropriate bike selection and fitting including proper frame size, handlebar width, stack and reach, saddle selection, saddle height, saddle fore/aft, leg extension, cleat placement, cleat shims and foot beds.
  • Provide best-in-class customer experience and ensure you deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Deliver the WHEELBASE brand ethos and culture of openness, inclusivity, community, and a passion for cycling.
  • The role may require national travel when required, and visits to other WHEELBASE stores may be necessary.


  • Passionate about cycling.
  • Have experience and background in bike fit including training in Retul, Precision Fit, Guru, CycleFit or a similar certification.
  • Have a complete knowledge of road, mountain, time trial and hybrid bikes.
  • Have the mechanical ability to change stems, handlebars, wrap bars, adjust shifters, adjust suspension and secure bikes in trainers.
  • An excellent communicator and relationship builder.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy retail environment.
  • Meet challenges with a positive attitude.
  • General IT skills including e-mail, Microsoft Office and bike fit software.
  • A willingness to travel nationally if required.

HOURS: Full time and part time roles will be considered.

SALARY: We offer a competitive salary based on ability and experience

HOLIDAY: 28 days paid holidays, including bank holidays (or pro rata on days worked)
