Bike Mechanic

We are currently looking for a cycle mechanic to join our busy workshop team in Wigan. This is a permanent, full time contract and will involve working 5 days out of 7, with weekends included.

We are looking to find someone that is hands-on and technically minded. Excellent customer service is important to us, so we would like someone who shares this view, and will strive to offer our customers the best service and experience, both in store and in the work carried out on their bikes.

Previous experience in a professional workshop is preferred but not essential. You should also have extensive knowledge of bikes, bicycle repair, brands, components, standards and current trends.

You will be expected to complete the following task on a typical working day:

• Bike servicing & repairs
• Diagnosing technical bike faults
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and efficient workshop
• Conducting pre delivery inspections: Before delivering bikes to our customers, we conduct a thorough set of safety checks to ensure each item leaves the shop in excellent condition.
• Pre dispatch inspection of mail order bikes

Salary: £18,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
