About the role 

The successful candidate for this role will play a key role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly, something that is absolutely essential in our quest to provide a great customer experience for our riders. 

Split across two areas, the role will be responsible for ordering bicycle components, gathering requests and managing special orders. A working knowledge of bicycle componentry will be required for this role, making it an ideal opportunity for someone from the industry who is looking to hone their skills in a growing business setting. 

This role would suit an individual who is meticulous and detail-focused, with the second half of the role focusing on making sure we are able to track all purchases in an organised way, keeping clean data. 

We are a company that balances home working with workshop visits, so this role would suit someone is able to combine a working from home setup with frequent visits to our workshops.

Specific responsibilities will include 

  • Managing purchase order and special order requests from across our workshops from end-to-end 
  • Maintaining and updating our cost and sales prices, improving margins for the business 
  • Overseeing, maintaining and improving our inventory database, ensuring that it is accurate, up-to-date and ready for scale 
  • Matching invoices with purchase orders, validating prices, quantities and payments schedule 

Requirements 

  • 2+ years experience of relevant experience 
  • Working knowledge of stock systems and processes 
  • Solid knowledge of the cycling industry, with an understanding of componentry 
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise 
  • A problem-solver, someone who can identify the root cause of an issue
  • Data-literate, capable of spotting trends and patterns – it’s all about the details! 
  • Able to communicate and build relationships effectively with all team members 
  • Accounts payable experience would be a real bonus 
  • Experience using Xero is not essential but an advantage
