Through the years we have formed close links with riders from all over the world, supporting the niche trials community with a vast level of expertise, knowledge and the highest levels of customer-focused service.\r\n\r\nCurrently a small and close-knit team of riders, staff have their own key responsibilities but are also trained and encouraged to operate within a wide range of roles, allowing variety and cross-over especially during busy periods. Once fully trained and familiar with what is required, work is carried out autonomously and without external pressure \u2018from above\u2019 \u2013 we have no sales targets, weekly meetings, etc. \u2013 so a successful applicant will require high levels of self-motivation and a meticulous attention to detail.\r\n\r\nFrom the beginning of August, we have an opportunity for another like-minded and organised individual to join our passionate team, where their role will be mostly comprised of:\r\n\r\n \tPicking, packing, booking and dispatching orders via multiple couriers, with the aid of our custom built admin system.\r\n \tManaging outgoing and incoming stock, including purchasing \/ ordering from our suppliers and organising the warehouse.\r\n \tLiaising with customers via phone and email in a timely and polite manner; dealing with their queries, taking orders, card payments, issuing refunds, processing returns \/ exchanges and warranty claims.\r\n \tDealing with courier-related issues (incorrect addresses, missed deliveries, etc \u2013 thankfully these are few and far between!).\r\n \tEnsuring our website is kept up to date with detailed and correct product information, plus identifying and removing obsolete items.\r\n \tBasic admin, such as paying invoices in both GBP and foreign currencies.\r\n \tMaintaining stock of and ordering stationary such as plain paper, shipping wallets \/ boxes, jiffy bags, tape, etc.\r\n\r\nFurther roles \u2013 such as workshop-based tasks, more detailed admin \/ accounts work, purchasing decisions and managing a small team - can be \u2018bolted on\u2019 with associated increase in salary as you become more familiar with how the business operates. Longer-term, the owner is looking to take a step back from day-to-day work, yet still offering support where required, and leave the company in capable hands.\u00a0\r\n\r\nThe description above should make it clear what skills are required to be a successful applicant. In addition, a keen interest in sustainability, cycling \/ the outdoors, and previous experience in a similar role would be a huge benefit, but this isn\u2019t essential as full training will be provided.\r\n\r\nWe\u2019re open 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, with an hour for lunch which is treated as strict down time. Other than the odd bike-related event; evenings, weekends and bank holidays are all yours \u2013 unless you wish to take on overtime, which is always available.\u00a0\r\n\r\nStarting salary: c.\u00a325,000 depending on previous experience, plus: all staff have access to bikes and parts at cost price, our privately-invested pension scheme, are invited with their partners to work outings a couple of times a year, and are automatically enrolled in our bonus scheme.
