Communications and PR Officer

A rare and exciting opportunity for a confident and talented individual to be actively involved in expansion of the marketing and communications team of a family owned business with a turnover of £22m in the leisure sector market.

The Framework

Pivotal to brand recognition, an inspiring individual is sought to develop, manage, support and monitor all marketing communication activities for the business and ensure marketing strategies and brand messaging is implemented across all digital, social and print platforms.

Determine sustainable growth and increase in the usage of internet/intranet systems with relevant and high level content to new and existing distributors and heighten public profile by creating specific brand, cycling category and demographic groups via Social Media and build pro-active and mutually beneficial relationships with key media businesses.

To reach, inspire and inform both our B2B and B2C audiences.

Fully maximise, analysis and evaluate all data captured by our active events team.

The Hub of Responsibilities

Passionate about bikes and having an outstanding talent to drive business information, promote not only the brands but the business as well, create tantalising offers, blogs, news etc. to dealers and consumers via dot mailer, B2B and all forms of Social media whilst ensuring up to the minute awareness of all new communication channels, their usefulness in getting our message across.

Opportunity to demonstrate outgoing nature by getting involved with suppliers and public supporting exhibitions and events and generally ‘mucking’ in.

Deliver marketing activity within agreed budgets and timelines and keep the Company’s management team up to date with any new communication platforms on a regular basis.

The Right Cog

Being exceptionally outstanding in their field with ideally a Business or Marketing related degree or equivalent professional qualification, technical/digital marketing skills and a keen interest in bikes or currently working in the bike industry.

Experience in all aspects of developing, delivering, marinating and monitoring marketing strategies in line with Company objectives and budgets coupled with a proven ability to oversee all promotional activities.
