Lead Mechanic required for a busy workshop.
We require a lead mechanic for a busy workshop in our Petersfield shop. It is varied work, split fairly evenly between road and mountain, with the majority of bikes being higher end. We offer a very well equipped workshop which is spacious and well lit, in a shop with a friendly, flexible team, with a shower and facilities for cycle commuting. Salary is dependent upon experience but is more than locally competitive. We value diversity and encourage applications from men and women.
The shop itself is located in the heart of Petersfield, selling Specialized, Cube, Whyte and Cervelo, we have a fit studio on site.
Ideally you will be Cytech level 2 or above, or have experience equivalent to these qualifications, you will be a skilled wheelbuilder, capable of rebuilding high end, low spoke count and carbon rimmed wheels, and you will be able to service Rockshox and Fox forks. Di2 and Etap familiarity is very useful. If you have some of these skills but not all, we encourage you to apply as full training will be given, but ideally we are looking for someone who can work without much supervision, who can hit the ground running and has the confidence to take control of challenges, and problem solve. You’ll also be dealing with the public so the ability to explain things articulately, and diplomatically is a must.
