Balance assist product for kids and soon adults too is set for production

Jyrobike smashes $100,000 Kickstarter goal in six days

Jyrobike has raised nearly $120,000, smashing through its original funding goal inside just six days.

The British company launched its first products, aimed at 3-8 year olds and available in 12” and 16” wheel sizes, on the crowd funding website on Tuesday 3rd June at 3pm GMT and celebrated full funding of $100,000 today (Monday 9th June).

With more than 20 days left to run on the crowd funding website, production is now a certainty and the firm may also be able to move faster on ambitions to create a product for adult learners. The initial $100,000 secured through the crowd funding site will be used for tooling, materials, further research, as well as development, production and assembly of the first Jyrobikes, which will ship in early 2015.

Jyrobike CEO Robert Bodill said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the support from our backers across the globe during the first week of our Kickstarter campaign and I’d like to say a massive thank you to them all for pledging with us.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to have achieved our funding goal after just six days and we’re now in the process of finalising our stretch goal rewards. I can’t give away too much now, but I can tell you that one of our stretch goal rewards will be very popular with parents of older children.

“Our Kickstarter campaign is still live so if you’re a parent, cyclist or you’d just like to support a young, innovative British company then please back us today via our Kickstarter page.”
