The Canadian bike brand has been the official supplier of MTBs to the Whistler ski/MTB resort for six years and the company's Whistler programme has now been rolled out at seven other MTB parks in North America, Australia and Europe.

Kona adds seven MTB resorts to ‘Groove Approved’ programme

The ‘Groove Approved’ parks Kona will work with are the Snowshoe Mountain Resort in West Virginia, Winter Park Resort in Colorado, CaliforniaÂ’s Northstar at Tahoe, Panorama Mountain Village and Whistler Blackcomb Resort in BC, as well as Leogang in Austria, Todtnau in Germany, AustraliaÂ’s Mt. Buller Resort, and Les Gets in France.

Kona provides these parks with access to a fleet of special-edition Stab Garbanzo dual-suspension DH bikes for riders, as well as several Stab Primos and Kona Stuff apparel for guides. The company also provides assistance with event development and promotion.

Groove Approved parks in North America also receive free replacement parts from WTB, E13, Hayes, Marzocchi, Fox and Race Face.

The North American parks will host Kona Demo days, where bike park visitors will have an opportunity to ride the latest Kona bikes, meet Kona Clump team members and "soak up the Kona vibe."

The dates include:

June 25-26 at Northstar, CA

July 2-3 at Panorama, BC

July 30-31 at Winter Park, CO

August 3-7 at Whistler, BC (during Crankworx)

August 13-14 at Snowshoe, WV

A statement from Kona said the Groove Approved programme "meets the special needs of the resortÂ’s mountain bike parks that benefits dealers by building brand credibility and designing promotions that drive customers into the dealer locations."
