Haul of Giant bikes were lifted from the West Calder retailers

18 bikes stolen from Edinburgh bike shop

Pedal Power of West Calder was hit by bike thieves this week.

On Sunday March 15th at approximately 9.00pm, Pedal Power’s storage container was broken into.

17 bikes were stolen from the container, all of which were Giant bikes, and were loaded into a silver Transit van. The bikes stolen included a Defy Advanced 3 (m/l), Revel 3 (xxs), Escape 1 and Roam 2.

Speaking to local paper the Edinburgh Evening News, store manager Gary Nicol said: “They ground open the padlock, burst open the doors and within just a few minutes put all the bikes in to the van and drove off. We think they’ve taken 18 bikes with a combined retail price of £10,750."

A reward is being offered for information leading to the recovery of the bikes.
