Around £600,000 has been set aside for the development of two busy junctions in Nottingham, improving safety and efficiency for cyclists.
The junctions at Dunkirk roundabout and the meeting point of Forest Road and Mansfield Road will be developed with the funds. The planned design will allow cyclists to take a right turn onto Forest Road, leading them onto North Sherwood Street toward the city.
With a college being built on the site of the former Dunkirk fire station, students are set to benefit from a the addition of a cycle path.
The new proposals have, however, caused a delay in planned works set for Wells Road in St. Ann’s.
