Video games giant Nintendo, national retailer Furniture Village and cycle firm Rose Bikes have already pledged sponsorship support for the fledgling event. Charities benefiting will include AfriKids, Anthony Nolan, Nordoff Robbins and Wooden Spoon.
“Cyclothon UK will be a tough challenge for riders but we are expecting the cycling community to come on board with teams from the nation’s cycle clubs and even from commuter groups entering. We are working hard to make sure that the cycling community is aware of the event and anticipate that we will reach our target of 50 teams sooner rather than later.”
