Craft supports Welsh Cycling in Commonwealth launch

Welsh Cycling and Craft Clothing have announced the launch of the Welsh Cycling Team for the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast of Australia, 4th-15th April 2018.

The team presentation and unveiling of the all-new Craft Team Kit for the games will take place at the Newport Velodrome on 19th March, 2018.

Team members attending the event include: Jon Mould, Ciara Horne, Hayley Jones, Jessica Roberts, Megan Barker, Sam Harrison, Dylan Kerfoot-Robson, Joe Holt, Rhys Britton, Lewis Oliva, Rachel James, Ellie Coster, Zach May and Manon Lloyd.

A schedule for the day:

10am: Arrival time for guests with hospitality.

10:10am: Introduction of Team Wales & Craft Team Kit presented by Keith Jepson Max Bikes PR.

10:20am: Media Sessions with athletes (Media requests and media attendance confirmed in advance post press release/invite)

11:00am: Opportunities to ride the track (x15 adult bikes available – with Welsh Cycling Coaches on hand)

12:00pm: End

The new Craft Team Kit range includes an EBC Aero Short sleeve Jersey, an advanced bodymapping jersey, made of four different cooling fabrics for optimal function, freedom of movement and aerodynamics, advanced bib shorts with fit and support, developed together with World Tour riders and an EBC TT Suit Long Sleeve – a high-speed suit with ergonomic shape for a perfect TT-riding-position fit.

After the success of 2014 Commonwealth Games for Welsh Cycling, Craft will be the official kit sponsor once again for the team.

“Craft and Welsh Cycling have built up a good relationship over the years, and it was a great pleasure to be asked to design and make the kit once again. We wish them every success in these games,” commented Paige Michaels of Craft UK.

Performance director at Welsh Cycling Matt Cosgrove added: ”The riders were really pleased with their kit at the Glasgow 2014 commonwealth games, and we were delighted that Craft were able to offer them kit once again this year. We look forward to unveiling the kit on and giving the riders a good send off on Monday.”
