CRC donates £75,000 to Ugandan community building charity

Chain Reaction Cycles has teamed with Ugandan charity Fields for Life, donating £75,000 to the development costs of schools and safe water sources.

Aside from educating a new generation of young children, the St Marg Lex School building will be used for training in practical skills like bike repair and maintenance, as well as business workshops in order that these businesses can run sustainably.

Spearheaded by CRC’s head of strategic and financial management Maurice Donaldson, a larger group of the CRC employees is due to visit the finished school in 2013, to further assist the developing community.

Maurice heads to Uganda on 30th March to provide support to the school management team as they work towards the opening of the school in May/June.
