Cycle Live festival returns with Experian backing

Festival, returning 21st to 23rd of June, will raise money for Heart of Experian charity
Publish date:

The Cycle Live festival is to return this year, running June 21st to 23rd, this time with backing from global information services company Experian.

Aiming to build on last year's event, this instalment will up its efforts to raise money for charity, with the Heart of Experian charity – developed to help smaller charities and community groups to grow and become more sustainable – being the main benificiary.

The sponsorship is expected to run for the next three years, at least. Chris Simon, director of Perfect Motion, the company that organises Experian Cycle Live commented: “To be supported by such a successful, high profile company again this year is a sound acknowledgement of the event’s reputation, which is still only in its second year.

“We have big ambitions for Experian Cycle Live, which offers something for everyone, from grass roots participation through to elite level cycling, and with the support of Experian we hope to make a difference in the local community. We hope to continue to grow it and maintain its reputation as the biggest cycling event in the East Midlands and further afield”.

The festival will once again centre around Nottingham's Victoria Embankment and play host to the Experian Nottingham Grand Prix on Friday 21 June, incorporating a series of evening circuit races, from youth riding to a corporate relay and regional and national category B crit racing.

The Experian Nottingham City Ride will take place on Saturday 22 June, with three predominantly traffic-free rides to choose from (three, seven and ten miles) and Sunday 23 June will see the Experian Great Notts Bike Ride return for its 32nd year, featuring three distances – 25 miles, 50 miles and a 100 mile sportive.

For those who don’t want to ride, the Experian Cycle Live event village will offer a whole host of free family fun events across the entire weekend, including live music and stalls.

Jan Barratt, Experian's head of community involvement UK&I, commented: “Supporting our local communities sits at the very heart of Experian’s business, which is exactly why we’ve established the Heart of Experian Charity Fund.

“Through this exciting new partnership, Experian Cycle Live, our people, their friends and families will be encouraged to take part in a wonderful event, while raising money for great local causes. We’re really looking forward to working with the Experian Cycle Live organisers to build on what is already a fantastic event.”
