Frog keeps up winning streak with Red Dot award - BikeBiz
The award comes just days after Frog won the Queen's Award for Enterprise

The Red Dot jury has awarded Frog Bikes the ‘Red Dot’ distinction for its MTB 69 bike.

The accolade was awarded to the brand after a rigorous evaluation spanning several days. The panel of experts awards the internationally recognised seal of quality only to products that “win them over with their high design quality.”

The subject of the distinction, the MTB 69, features lockout and compression control suspension forks that work in line with rider’s weight, hydraulic disc brakes and an ultra-lightweight rider-specific frameset.

Founder and director Jerry Lawson commented: "The Frog range is designed with the child in mind: Lighter frames, shorter cranks and finely tuned forks are just some of changes we have made to the geometry to ensure that cycling is a positive experience for younger riders. Our goal is simple - we want to make bikes children want to ride and stores want to sell."

Earlier this week, BikeBiz revealed that the brand had been awarded the Queen’s award for enterprise. It is one of only 238 organisations nationally to be recognised with the prestigious award.

Owner Shelley Lawson commented: “To win a Queen's Award is absolutely fantastic for a business of our size. Despite recent uncertainty in the UK's trading position, we export an increasing number of bicycles each year, and are determined to continue our export growth. We have seen a surge in demand in North American markets and throughout Europe in recent months."
