Two days after eight bikes were stolen from a Plymouth bike shop, the entire haul has been recovered thanks to the efforts of the public and the Devon and Cornwall Police.

The bikes, with a total value of around £18,000, were taken from Rockin Bikes of Yelverton, Devon, on December 17th at 10.30pm.

Both the shop and Tavistock Police turned to Facebook to spread the word, getting hundreds of shares from users on the social media site.

It was Facebook where the shop posted the news of the recovery: "Great news, it looks like a huge thank you is owed to the Devon and Cornwall Police and the members of the public who supplied information to them. They put in a sterling effort and recovered all 8 bikes. They also have some people in for questioning in relation to the burglary! Thanks again to everyone who shared this post and thank you for your continued support!"
