Hunt Bike Wheels has kicked off 2018 by entering the UCI Cyclocross circuit with the signing of Dutch rider, Gosse van der Meer.
This is the brand’s first step into the world of professional cyclocross racing, and Gosse will race by himself under the name of Bombtrack Bicycle Co. – powered by Hunt Wheels –for 2018 onwards.
“We were approached by Manuel of Bombtrack to discuss sponsoring a single rider in the UCI Cyclocross circuit, who wanted to branch away from the conventional team structure and race for and by himself,” commented brand manager Ollie Gray.
‘Having spoken with Gosse a few times, and seen first-hand his unrivalled love for the sport, it felt like the right thing to do to enable this young and prodigiously talented rider to race in the sport in his own way. As many already know, Hunt takes cyclocross incredibly seriously, and we hope this step into the highest rankings is indicative of our passion for this increasingly popular discipline,” he concluded.
