Companies in the bike industry have donated items for an online auction, the proceeds of which will help save newborn babies in Vietnam.
Almost £1,000 has been raised to date with live auctions at the London Bike Show but the aim is to increase that to over £10,000 via an online auction and a raffle. The online auction is running on Going Going Bike and ends on February 11th.
The great items up for grabs include a 10 day cycling holiday for two in Vietnam (donated by Cycle a Difference); bamboo bike frame (donated by Bamboo Bikes); Kask helmets signed by Mark Cavendish, Bradley Wiggins and Luke Rowe (donated by Velobrands); Michaux Club Bag (donated by The Michaux Club); Espresso Wheels Coaster wheelset (donated by Espresso Wheels); photos of Chris Hoy, Danny Macaskill, and Rob Warner, signed by the riders (donated by Crankphoto); and a Vin Denson signed photo.
A £10 raffle ticket will win somebody a £5,000 customised Trek Madone Series 6.2 Project One.
Going Going Bike co-founder James Johnson said: “We’re happy to be helping out raise money for such a great cause and are really impressed by how generous the bike industry has been with donated items."
