Transport for London recently launched its official code of conduct for dockless bike schemes operating in the city.
The document aims to clarify the governing body’s position on the implementation and practical sustainability of schemes such as ofo, and as such, the company has taken the opportunity to endorse TfL’s position.
In response to the publication, ofo UK operations director Joseph Seal-Driver commented: “We welcome the release of TfL’s code of practice for dockless bike share operators in London. In a fast-growing sector, a transparent code of practice for all operators is a crucial way to give customers and local authorities the confidence that the highest industry standards will be upheld at all times.
“We are proud to be leading the way with responsible bike-sharing – developing our own UK charter, working with local bike shops to maintain our bikes and paying all employees the London Living Wage.”
