Police and havebike team up for Day of Action to curb bike theft

Havebike teamed up with City of London Police to promote bicycle security and safety last week for a ‘Day of Action’.

Including free bicycle safety checks and BikeRegister security marketing across the Square Mile including outside St Paul’s Cathedral, officers and havebike staffers were positioned at over 100 cycle racks throughout the City.

At least 100 officers supported the event and had training from havebike on cycle marking.

“We are proud to support the City of London Police’s delivery of this Day of Action," said Nick Brown, havebike’s Managing Partner.

"It’s great to see ever growing numbers of cyclists on London’s roads. Raising awareness of bicycle safety and security issues is just one of many ways we can address barriers that discourage people from what is a free, fun and healthy form of transport and/or leisure, whoever you are.”

More future free safety checking events in the offing.
