Over £7,500 worth of prizes up for grabs for participants

Triathlon Industry Association launches annual athlete survey

The Triathlon Industry Association has launched its second annual survey to try and better understand the commercial impact of triathlon amongst the UK multisport community.

Last year’s inaugural study, believed to be the most comprehensive research study ever undertaken of the British triathlon community, gathered 3,500 responses to provide an unprecedented depth of insight into the trends affecting one of the fastest-growing participatory sports.

Triathletes completing the survey are be rewarded by TIA’s fifty member companies, which bring together event organisers, equipment manufacturers, tour operators, retailers, distributors, and media. As well as helping to steer the future growth of their sport in the UK, respondents will also have a chance to win one of 160+ prizes donated by TIA’s members.

The prizes on offer, with a combined value of £7500, include a week’s stay at Club La Santa in Lanzarote, £1000 worth of Huub merchandise, a signed copy of the Brownlees’ ‘Swim, Bike, Run: Our Triathlon Story’, free event and show entries, magazine subscriptions and a whole host of gear, including wetsuits, helmets, tri suits, running shoes and sunglasses.

TIA co-chairman, David Townsend of TCR Shows said: "Our sport continues to go from strength to strength thanks in no small part to the momentum provided by ongoing British success on the world stage. TIA is dedicated to making sure the business of triathlon grows in equal measure, and gathering this data provides the sport’s key stakeholders with the intelligence they require to deliver ongoing improvements across everything we do."

Online until the end of January, the survey can be found here.
