Yellow Jersey Cycle Insurance is expanding its bicycle insurance offering.

Yellow Jersey Cycle Insurance is expanding its bicycle insurance offering. These new products are being unveiled alongside a new-look website and brand.

The new range of bicycle insurance policies are set to capture all cyclists, whatever sort of riding they choose – from commuters to keen amateur racers and triathletes. The new tiered approach will give greater flexibility to cyclists so they can find the right cover without paying for things that aren’t relevant to them.

All three of the Yellow Jersey Bicycle Insurance tiers aim to provide “best in class” cover, ensuring customers receive the Yellow Jersey standard of care across all policies. Ultimate and Performance policies will be available on an annual and short-term basis, while the new Essentials policy will only be available as an annual policy.

All three products include, as standard, theft, crash and accidental damage, £2m public liability cover, £250 accessory cover, dental/physio cover, multi-bike discounts, cover for all the family and a generous 25 per cent renewal discount.

Managing director Ryan Georgiades commented: “We launched Yellow Jersey back in 2014 to provide a simple solution to help cyclists keep their bikes covered while riding, racing and travelling abroad. As the brand has grown, we’ve been looking for ways not just to expand but also to ensure that we were offering a range of products that our customers actually want.

“We spent a long time working on these new products, listening to feedback and as a result, we have created a range of options to suit virtually any cyclist.

“Due to the introduction of our new bicycle insurance products, we embarked on a re-development of Yellow Jersey’s look and feel. We wanted our brand to not only reflect our customers but also to be clear, concise and make our online customer experience as straight forward as possible.

“The most important thing to us is that our customers can go out and enjoy their ride, free from any worries about what’ll happen should things go wrong.”
