London Cycling Campaign is inviting nominations for its annual awards for projects that have done the most to benefit cycling in London. Betcha the Trek-sponsored Rough Guide to London gets a gong, but how about some entries from London bike shops?

London’s Cycling Oscars: nominations sought

The awards aim to highlight London’s best ideas in cycling facilities, workplace cycle schemes, community cycling projects and initiatives aimed at children and young people.

The awards will be presented on October 25th 2003 by Jenny Jones, Deputy Mayor of London. The last date for nominations is October 3rd 2003.

The awards are open to anyone who has recently completed a facility or project that encourages more people onto bikes, makes cycling safer, easier, more convenient, and accessible to more people.

The nominated work must have been implemented since April 2002 and be within London.
