Looters steal seven high-end MTBs from flooded bike shop

The Cycle Factory of Todmorden was flooded on Boxing Day but was then robbed on Sunday, with looters stealing seven high-end bikes. The shop opened earlier this year.

On the shop’s Facebook page the seven stolen bikes are listed, with one of them being distinctive.

"Struggling for words here," starts the Facebook posting. "We got flooded on Saturday as did a lot of people. Last night we were robbed by the scum of the earth praying on flood victims."

Some of the bikes were in boxes, and one – the Kona Hei Hei Trail – was a rep’s bike and the only one of its type in the country at the moment.

The stolen bikes are:

2016 Kona Process 153 – medium
2016 Kona Hei Hei Trail – medium
2016 Kona Process 111 – medium
2016 Kona Precept 150 – large (boxed)
2015 Mondraker Dune XR – large
2016 Cube Attention – 19″ (boxed)
2016 Cube Attention – 21″ (boxed)
