Madison has announced that it will act as the exclusive UK and Ireland distribution partner for MilKit tubeless systems, effective immediately.
The MilKit tubeless valve and refill kit is a new technology that has been designed to solve the problem of accurately and simply managing tubeless sealant. A unique petal valve prevents clogging and accepts a syringe that can be used to extract the sealant from the tyre so that riders can top it up without having to unseat the tyre or re-use it when swapping tyres.
MilKit is the brainchild of Pius Kobler who whilst riding in Moab Utah, found that the high temperatures and frequent punctures made the sealant in his tyres run out quickly, yet it was impossible to accurately check sealant levels without removing the tyre.
The unique system has already won high praise from the cycling press including Roac.cc, which rated it four point five out of five and stated that: “If you run tubeless with sealant – on or off-road – you want this kit. It’s design and engineering par excellence.” Elsewhere, Pinkbike declared that: “MilKit went from something I didn’t care about to a must-have in my toolbox.”
MilKit brand manager at Madison Chris Brattle said: “We are really excited to be working with MilKit; they have a seriously impressive product that is a proven solution to a real problem many cyclists don’t even realise exists. Personally I am a serial tyre and wheel swapper, so after six months of using it on all my road and mountain bikes, I was keen to open a discussion with the brand.
“We are looking forward to representing them and educating the British public about the system which makes installing and maintaining tubeless systems a far cleaner, easier and less wasteful task.”
