The third annual LG Action Sports Championships will be staged in the Manchester Evening News Arena, October 21st- 23rd. Boasting more than $650 000 in cash and prizes - the largest per-sport purse in action sports history - the LG Action Sports Championships will be attended by Britain's Jamie Bestwick who recently won gold at the X-Games for BMX vert and in the Best Trick competition.

Manchester is venue for finals of skate and BMX promo

The LG Action Sports Championships features skateboarding, freestyle BMX and inline skating.

The Manchester wrap-up event is the final of a global series that has so far visited Moscow, Beijing, Paris and Barcelona.

The full list of riders qualified to ride include Chad Kagy, Kevin Robinson and more of the sports biggest names.

The LG Championships will be shown on television by Channel 4, Eurosport and the Extreme Sport Channel.

Mongoose and GT are the official bike sponsors for the Manchester event.
