Sales promo also spreading the word on the good works of the Qhubeka Foundation

Met running trade pre-order offer on Rivale and Manta

Each Met stockist is to get two free t-shirts – carrying the motto of Qhubeka – for orders of five helmets of the new aero-road helmets Manta and/or Rivale.

The two aero road bike helmets are used by team MTN-Qhubeka p/b Samsung and were launched at the 2015 Tour de France, where Team MTN earned its first ever Tour win wearing the Rivale. Since then the helmets have been worn in a stage win at La Vuelta as well as the general classifications win of the Tour of Britain.

The promotion is also spreading the message of the Qhubeka Foundation, which helps people by giving bicycles in return for work done to improve communities, the environment or academic results. The t-shirt offer is valid while stocks last.

Met’s Manta is – the brand says – the fastest closed aero-road helmet on the market, saving 10 Watts at 50 kph over competitors. Its weight of only 200 grams (size M, CE) makes it amongst the lightest aero-road helmets. Met’s Rivale is an open aero-road helmet, saving 3 Watts at 50 kph over comparable competitor models, the brand says. Weighing only 230 grams (size M, CE) it is also one of the lightest open aero-road helmets on the market.

Met also recently launched the Lupo helmet, an MTB helmet pitched as offering great protection to the rear and sides of the head and ideal for prolonged hours in the saddle. It weighs 270 grams and comes with a Gelo 02 pad to keep the head cool – it doesn’t absorb sweat like traditional foam pads and lasts longer too, Met said.
