Motorworlds owner has been in receivership for two months but receivers Ernst & Young have failed to find a bidder for the whole of Finelist plc so the component parts were sold instead.

Motorworld is revived with MBO

The Motorworld chain of 200+ stores has been bought by the current MD and some of his management team. The £52m retail chain also owns Charlie Browns. Both stores stocked bikes from Moore Large.

Motorworld stores have been selling off stock without replenishment and are unlikely to be fully restocked for the critical Christmas sales period.

Despite this hiccup the new management has come out with all guns blazing and is bullishly claiming that a further 40 stores will be added to the chain over the next four years.
