MSC Blast Carbon wins award

MSC Bikes won its second award in two years at Taipei Cycle Show last month.

The MSC Blast Carbon was honoured at Taipei’s new iF D&I Awards, following up last year’s success for the MSC Magik Stem, which won another iF prize at Eurobike in 2010.

A jury of technicians and users evaluated the bike, which won favour for features including, the brand explained: "A carboflex rear suspension system, the rigidity of the rear part that allows lightening acceleration without loss of energy, and the exquisite finishings of the frame (internal wiring for rear lock / seat telescopic, Press Fit BB30, bearing located in press fit type cups, anti-collision chain stay, etc)."

The brand added: "This award continues to demonstrate that small manufacturers may be in the cutting edge of international cycling technology."

The Spain-manufactured MSC Bikes are available in the UK via NRG4, of which there is more on in this round-up from the Scottish Bike Show.

NRG4 distributes the full range of bikes including jump, enduro, trail, XC, 29er, downhill and tandem. The distributor is looking for customers who would consider this ‘exclusive’ bike brand for their shop, stating that the opportunities to sell the range are good. Margins are too, NRG4 said, and online discount stores won’t be supplied, BikeBiz has been told.

For more information please contact Nrg4 distribution at sales@nrg4.co.uk or on 0870 240 4219.
