Cyclewise gets its grand launch in the town this weekend

New £250,000 bike shop opening in Cockermouth this weekend

A new Cyclewise store is launching in Cockermouth, with a grand opening this Saturday (December 5th) at 10am.

£250,000 has been invested in the new shop, created after Cyclewise’s Whinlatter Forest home was struggling for space.

Three new jobs have been created for the outlet, with road and family cycles featuring prominently.

Director Rich Martin told BikeBiz this morning: "We have a trail centre shop at Whinlatter home of the Altura trail, Keswick. That was bursting at the seams with bike and kit hence our new bike shop.

"Mountain bikes will now be at Cyclewise Whinlatter and Premium Road bikes and family cycles at Cyclewise Cockermouth. We have created three new positions and are stocking Cube, Ritte, Look and Colnago bikes and Zipp Wheels. At Whinlatter we are stocking Cube MTBs, Yeti and Mondraker with a full demo fleet available including e-bikes."

Martin told us the shop is currently being stocked and the workshop finished off in time for the weekend launch.
