Cafe du Cycliste to bring a taste of the French Riviera to the cycle wear scene

New French retro cycle clothing brand emerges

Café du Cycliste, a new retro cycle wear brand, has launched.

Blending technical and natural fabrics like merino, the Cote d’Azur-based firm was founded by an Ironman triathlete and former canoeing world champion. The duo combined over their shared love for cycling to create a cycling community café on the French Riviera. Soon after the pair launched the cycle wear range.

The brand is pitched as bringing the spirit of the Cote d’Azur to the cycle wear sector. A spokesperson said: “Café du Cycliste is a French brand settled on the French Riviera surrounded by countless beautiful rides. We simply cannot dream of anything better than France for road cycling! We are big fans of our scenic winding roads our mythical cols and our cafés.”

The products are available globally, sold via an online shop. However the brand said it is planning to sell stock through a small number of retailers. Café du Cycliste is already in discussion with a selection of dealers, Bikebiz is told.

The range includes robust high-performance fabrics, with the Sur le Bitume series tailored for the road and the Sur le Zinc series pitched as technical cycle wear for use during everyday activities.
