New Marzocchi carbon XC fork on the way

Marzochhi has leaked shots of a new carbon fibre-legged cross country fork that is said to weigh just 1,600 grams.

The ‘Carbon 44’ will utilise a minimised magnesium shell with carbon fibre molded over the top. This, according to Marzocchi director Bryson Martin, shaves over 200 grams from the current top of the line Micro Ti QR15.

The fork will carry a 15mm through axle, as well as post-mount disc brake tabs. The internal structure is made up of 150mm of tunable travel, with adjustable chamber volume and air springs. A titanium coil negative spring also features to minimise stiction.

BikeRadar.com has seen the fork and has some shots of the model here.
