Bike shop hit by £50,000 theft

Large haul included everything from e-bikes to hard tail MTBs and action cameras

On July 31st Drover Cycles of Hay-on-Wye, Powys was hit by a significant theft.

Broken into overnight, between the hours of 9 and 11.30pm, the thieves made off with large numbers of bikes, including Saracen Mantra Pro hard tails, Pyga OneTen 29ers and Merida road bike.

According to local paper the Hereford Times, the value of the haul was around £50,000, including action cameras and cycle computers as well as a broad range of bikes, including three electric Haibikes.
