US recumbent specialist magazine Recumbent and Tandem Rider is to host a trade event in California, scheduled for this October.
The Pomona Fairplex event, which kicks off October 21st, is to have two trade days, followed by a consumer opening on the final day, the 23rd. A demo area will be set aside for test rides.
“Recumbent bicycles are one of the fastest-growing segments of the bicycle market," Chuck Coyne, publisher and editor of Recumbent & Tandem Rider Magazine, told BRAIN. “This event is a great opportunity for members of the recumbent industry from all over the country to see new products and attend seminars on a variety of topics.”
Jay Townley, who has previously spoken at Madison’s IceBike shows, is one special guest of the new show who will give a talk on the opportunities the segment presents to retailers.
To date around 25 exhibitors have taken exhibition space including Greenspeed Trikes, Hase Bikes, Lightfoot Cycles, Optima Cycles, Sidewinder Cycles, Sun Bicycles and TerraCycle.
