25 per cent increase in demand year-on-year leads operator to add Japan, Thailand, Bavaria and Jordan tours

Explore expands bike tourism catalogue with 12 new routes

Cycle tourism operator Explore has added 12 fresh routes to its catalogue of destinations following a surge in demand.

Claiming to have seen a 25 per cent jump in bookings year-on-year, Explore has broadened its horizons, adding tours in Japan, Thailand, Bavaria and Jordan, as well as four new gastronomic cycle tours.

Ashley Toft, managing director of Explore, commented “Cycling holidays have been steadily increasing in popularity over the last couple of years, and this year alone we have seen a 25 per cent rise in bookings, with Europe, Cuba, Burma and Vietnam being among the most popular destinations to date. It’s for this reason that we are expanding our collection and offering something new for all abilities”.

He continued, “Explore’s cycling tours offer great value for money. Unlike most other operators, we include the hire of high-quality bikes in the cost of all of our trips, meaning that customers don’t have to worry about taking their own bike abroad or paying extra to hire one locally.”

Explore includes the cost of bike hire in all of its tours and as an added incentive to book early, all new tours are discounted by five per cent between now and 18th November 2013.
