Qhubeka is now registered with JustGiving

African cycles-to-kids charity Qhubeka is now registered with UK-based online fundraising platform JustGiving. Qhubeka – which is an Nguni word that means “to carry on” – is also registered with GivenGain, a smaller online fundraising platform but by being available through JustGiving will probably widen the charity’s reach.

Qhubeka helps people move forward and progress by giving bicycles in return for work done to improve communities, the environment or academic results. Having a bicycle changes lives by increasing the distance people can travel, what they can carry, where they can go and how fast they can get there.

More than 54 000 bikes have been distributed by Qhubeka since 2005.

JustGiving is one of the world’s leading online fundraising platforms. It was founded in 2001.
