Stuart Stow, formerly of Stuart Stow Cycles and Accessories of Shepperton in Middlesex (a roadie shop from the early 1990s), is one of the directors of Totalefit Ltd, a new company founded to market and distribute 2XL sports food supplements, developed by the Centre of Nutrional Medicine of Harley Street, London

‘Off the bike’ protein-and-carb products launched by former IBD

2XL consists of dense protein and carbohydrate drinks and a protein rich snack bar.

“We will be promoting the products at road race events and to clubs to drive interest at grass roots level but will also be seeking stockists in the cycle retail trade,” said Stow.

“The margins are very good, in the order of 45 percent on wholesale cost.”

The products – all of which are suitable for vegetarians and made only from natural ingredients – will be advertised in ‘Cycling Weekly.’

2XL products will be available for sale on www.totalefit.co.uk, the company’s etail site which also offers sports nutrition and training advice.
